The Instructional Aid Coordinator will facilitate peer-led team learning (PLTL) workshops for introductory Biology 1113.02 & 1114.02 course. This position will serve as a mentor to student peer leaders by running a 2-hour weekly leader meeting & by reviewing and/or editing workshop materials for the upcoming week(s) in order to prepare the student leaders for the week. This role will evaluate through observation and provide feedback to the student peer leaders, PLTL course coordinator, Assistant Director, and Director of the CLSE about weekly progress. This role will assist the PLTL coordinator with other duties such as developing and running new workshops and testing suggested modifications of existing workshops; aid the PLTL coordinator in designing training for the student peer leaders for professional development and aid in conducting pedagogical research related to the PLTL program in CLSE.
Required: High School Diploma or GED. Experience with Peer-led team learning is required.
Desired: Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science is desired.
