Job Responsibilities

This position is for a Mechanical Engineer to provide design and support for the Otis Gen3 product. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating design opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments.

Typical responsibilities include structural analysis, design, implementation, and testing of a wide range of elevator components. The candidate should have a strong mechanical engineering background with experience working in a cross functional team environment.

Education

  • BS Degree in mechanical engineering degree with 5+ years' experience
  • MA/MS degree with 3+ years' experience

Experience/Skills

  • Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design, component modeling and design)
  • Creo / Pro Engineer
  • Mechanical structural analysis with Ansys or other FEA Software
  • Design documentation with Mathcad
  • Hands-on testing experience
  • Strong communications and leadership ability
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment
  • Elevator systems knowledge preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Location:
