Position: Software Engineer III



Job Location: 10500 NE 8th Street, Bellevue, WA 98004



Duties: Design and develop robust web services using REST APIs to improve the customer experience of Walmart customers and internal stakeholders. Participate in medium to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (design documents, product requirements), writing and developing code, performing unit and integration testing, collaborating with project teams and cross functional teams, troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (issue, impact and criticality), performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams when needed, driving the development of an action plan ensuring on-time delivery of the software product and hand-offs and interacting with project manager to provide input on the project.



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.




Skills required: Experience coding in Java and TypeScript object-oriented programming languages. Experience designing and implementing web services using REST API in Java and Spring Boot. Experience with Azure managed services. Experience with user interface development using React and JavaScript. Experience with unit testing and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Experience with software development methodologies and best practices including Agile and Scrum. Experience building software in microservice architecture and design. Experience with load/performance testing and performance tuning. Experience building distributed messaging systems using Kafka. Experience designing and developing SQL databases and data models. Experience writing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $137,259/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
