The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kids Club Coordinator to help ensure the coordination and smooth operation of our drop-in childcare program at the Ipswich YMCA. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead a talented team and work directly with children in a fun, engaging environment.

As a Kids Club Coordinator, you will:


  • Coordinate staff schedules and provide general supervision of staff and play space.

  • Serve as a staff leader in the Kid’s Club area, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, fun, and engaging environment.

  • Implement a monthly curriculum with age-appropriate activities for children ages 0-10.

  • Assist in the hiring process, review timesheets, and orient and train new staff members.

  • Communicate with participants and carry out program policies, all while fostering a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere.

  • Lead the organization and staffing of our Friday Night Fun Club, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.

What We’re Looking For:

To excel in this role, you should have experience providing childcare in a recreational or educational setting with children of varying ages. You are a natural leader with the ability to build authentic relationships with your team and guide them to success. Strong communication, organizational skills, and an ability to model appropriate child engagement and behavior management are essential for success in this role.

  • Must be available on Mondays 8:00am-12:00pm, Wednesdays 8:00am-12:00pm, and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm.
