McGovern Medical School (https://med.uth.edu/) at UTHealth Houston , a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), faculty position in the Department of Internal Medicine , Division of General Internal Medicine .
The selected candidate will contribute to the Department's mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through state high-level responsibilities: research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.
The Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Assistant Professor to join the UTHealth Houston Harris County Psychiatric Center and Du nn Behavioral Sciences Center Consult service and the Memorial Hermann Hospital Inpatient Service.
In this role, the Assistant Professor will provide onsite attending consultant coverage at UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center and Dunn Behavioral Science Center, rounding on inpatient units, conducting new consults, and offering follow-up on previously staffed consultations as needed. Additionally, the Assistant Professor will provide inpatient services at Memorial Hermann Hospital, ensuring the continuity of high clinical quality and efficiency within our Division. This faculty position is responsible for delivering high-quality medical services to patients.
Position Key Accountabilities:
In addition, all UTHealth Houston employees who are assigned to work at a location that is subject to the affiliated partner's hospital, clinical offices, or agency are required to abide by UTHealth Houston's rules and regulations and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty License. Required or preferred board certification/eligibility statement.
