Summary of Role:
This position has responsibility for GLOBALFOUNDRIES' Fab 9 Customer Quality & Supplier Quality teams and business processes, reporting to the Fab 9 Site Quality Leader. The role includes close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to meet our Quality requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting Quality KPIs and driving continual improvement with stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent issues from recurring.
Drive Quality initiatives that will enhance overall product quality and customer satisfaction.
Provide leadership to the CQE team to meet tactical and strategic business objectives, as well as to close all Quality issues raised by clients in a timely manner, while contributing to similar in-fab issue resolution.
Effectively communicate status of Quality-related tasks, projects and metrics to upper management, customers, and internal teams
Manage team to effectively drive improvements with suppliers to overcome issues/incidents as quickly as possible
Execute and support new supplier and commodity qualifications/strategies for new processes or cost reduction in collaboration with Global supplier management Organization.
Provide necessary input to our supplier management/procurement team regarding issues with potential suppliers, including formal risk assessments to aid in strategic decisions.
Mentor and coach engineers, technicians, and managers to achieve Fab and corporate quality goals including driving specific employee development plans
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Related Discipline.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality, module engineering, integration or yield engineering
3-5 years of management experience
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills
Strong structured problem solving/ 8D skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and react to shifting priorities
This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering or Science or a relevant technical discipline
>5 years management experience
Experience in various fab manufacturing roles, including engineering, integration, and characterization.
Previous customer management experience
Experience in leading multi-functional groups to achieve goals and KPIs.
Candidates will be considered based on their demonstrated people and technical management skills.
Expected Salary Range
$104,000.00 - $198,000.00
