Position Summary

The Audiovisual (AV) Onsite Support Technician - II, plays a key role in supporting, operating, and maintaining cutting-edge audiovisual and IT systems at our customer’s facility. Partnering closely with management, Avidex resources, manufacturers, and customers, you’ll ensure systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

To excel in this role, you’ll bring a strong foundation in audio, video, and control systems, along with a solid understanding of computers and networks. Your attention to detail, punctuality, effective communication, and technical expertise will be essential in delivering exceptional support and maintaining top-tier audiovisual systems.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience providing technical and/or onsite support within the AV/IT industry.
  • AVIXA CTS certification (must be obtained within one year of hire).
  • Proficiency with Windows and Apple software.
  • Strong computer networking skills.
  • Intermediate experience operating, troubleshooting, and adjusting integrated AV/IT systems.
  • Proficiency with AV/IT software, hand tools, and test equipment.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work hours, including occasional weekends based on customer needs.
  • Physical ability to:
    • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds (assisted).
    • Walk, stand, sit, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
    • Work in varying environments (hot, cold, or humid).


Responsibilities:

  • Support Client Meetings and Events:
    • Provide setup, tear-down, and operation of AV equipment during meetings and conferences.
    • Coordinate AV resources for both large-scale events and last-minute requests.
  • System Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
    • Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments to integrated AV/IT systems.
    • Diagnose and resolve control system issues, including remote support when necessary.
    • Deliver clear, detailed written documentation of system repairs and findings.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
    • Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
    • Meet with internal staff to review open tickets and support history as needed.
  • Team and Technical Support:
    • Provide technical guidance to team members needing occasional assistance.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Complete support reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists accurately and on time.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards.
    • Attend site safety and coordination meetings as required.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Participate in training classes and maintain certifications as required by management.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
