We are looking for a versatile and growth-minded Marketing Channel Specialist to join the Channel Strategy & Execution team within Marketing & Communications. In this role, you will lead the planning, development and execution of the AAFP podcast channel, along with other emerging channels. In this role, you will support other owned marketing channels of AAFP, collaborating with fellow colleagues of the Channel Strategy & Execution team.

The ideal candidate understands the fundamentals of marketing strategy, omnichannel digital marketing, and is eager to execute on the tactics necessary to drive engagement and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for audio content, growth mindset, and a strong understanding of digital marketing trends.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Podcast Development and Management: Lead the creation and execution of podcast initiatives, from concept development to production and promotion, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of efforts across emerging channels, utilizing metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Audience Engagement: Utilize audience insights to develop tailored content strategies that foster community and enhance listener loyalty, particularly within podcasting.
  • Paid Campaign Support: Support the execution of paid digital campaigns, collaborating with the paid media team to plan, launch, and optimize campaigns.
  • Email Marketing Support: Support the execution of AAFP’s email marketing efforts, collaborating with the email marketing team to plan, launch, and optimize campaigns.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, writers, designers, and/or channel strategies, to produce cohesive marketing efforts and maximize impact across channels.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years’ work experience
  • Proven experience in podcast production and marketing is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling. Creative mindset with a strong interest in exploring new marketing opportunities.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Streamyard, Libsyn, Google Analytics, Google Advertising, social media advertising).
  • Excellent organizational skills
