About the Company:


HAYS are representing an award-winning general contractor based in Northern Virginia who are looking to hire X2 Project Engineers for a start date of January 6th. Looking to engage with construction professionals with 2+ years of general contracting experience in the commercial construction industry.

Your new role:
As a Project Engineer, you will provide crucial administrative and project management support to the Project and Field Management teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with project scheduling, bidding, take-offs, procurement, and cost controls.


• Managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders.


• Ensuring projects meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.

What you'll need to succeed:

• 2+ years of experience in the construction industry (general contractor preferred but will look into subcontractor background too)


• Experience in commercial construction projects, ideally new construction.


• A degree in a construction-related field is preferred but not required.


• Strong multitasking and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization.


• Familiarity with construction software like Procore or Bluebeam, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.


• Candidates must be local to Northern Virginia or DC.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive base salary ($75k - $90k, depending on experience).
