SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.


We are currently hiring a Division Manager for the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) at Schofield Barracks, HI to manage performance responsibilities, oversee and facilitates progress of work across all Transportation actions, and support company management, which requires a solid working knowledge of army logistics procedures, policies, and precedents. This position works under the general guidance and supervision of the Program/Project Manager and directs and monitors the activities of transportation functions, which includes operations management of the Transportation Motor Pool and Personal Property Preparing Office. Responsibilities encompass a full range of administrative tasks & technical duties that support transportation operations tied to Army Logistic Support Services. This position provides direct supervision and guidance for the Administrative Assistant, Supervisors and their respective personnel through coaching and performance management.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Directs the activities of the Transportation Division.

· Develops long- and short-range plans and operating procedures to ensure accomplishment of transportation requirements.

· Reviews and interprets regulations, directives, program documents, and guidance identifying operational requirements and initiates associated policies and procedures.

· Monitors and supervises division activities through observation of daily operations and review and analysis of transportation performance data, records and reports.

· Determines if program requirements and objectives are being met in the most efficient and economical manner, and initiates changes in operations, as required to correct deficiencies.

· Provides guidance to assigned Branch Supervisors and coordinates with other Division Managers on technical and managerial matters.

· Makes recommendations when problems or issues arise to effect continual improvements by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

· Directly interacts with government counterparts, accountable officers and military leadership; build positive working relationships to meet mission and production objectives.

· Meets and supports Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), safety, fire, and security regulations and comply with published company rules and polices.

· Conforms with and abides by all federal, state and U.S. Army regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

· Provides contract support to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and security regulations.

· May be assigned other duties and responsibilities if needed.


Work Conditions:

  • Working outside of normal business hours is required to support contract requirements.
  • Work is typically performed in well-ventilated and lighted areas with some lifting and moving of materials.
  • Position requires standing, walking, and sitting while working either indoors or outdoors.
  • While performing the job, you may be required to lift/carry, pull/push, reach, squat, and kneel.
  • You may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • You are expected to be available via phone at all times and are subject to being called into work as needed.
Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in Transportation.
  • Knowledge of DOT, Federal and Army transportation regulations.
  • Ability to research and explain regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to the position.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Amazing customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 software applications.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Team player and self-starter.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior multi-tasking skills.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance (if deemed necessary).
  • Current Hawaii Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain and maintain NACI investigation.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
  • Pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing throughout employment is required.
