Key Responsibilities
Provide expert care in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries/illnesses for varsity student-athletes as per team coverage assignment.
Deliver medical coverage for assigned team practices and competitions.
Design and implement custom rehabilitation programs that enhance athlete recovery and performance.
Maintain accurate treatment documentation through electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Assist in managing medical insurance claims and ensure compliance with NCAA and Massachusetts state licensing regulations.
Review and support team conditioning and fitness testing, ensuring adherence to NCAA Catastrophic Injury Prevention Guidelines.
Manage the athletic training inventory and assist team physicians with weekly student-athlete clinics.
Coordinate appointments for student-athletes with team physicians as needed, per team assignment
Assist the Director of Sports Medicine with administrative duties
Assist the Director of Sports Medicine in coordinating coverage and scheduling
Assist the Director of Sports Medicine in communicating with team physicians, attending administrative meetings, and/or when the Director of Sports Medicine can not be present/do so.
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training (Master's degree preferred).
BOC certification and eligibility for Massachusetts Athletic Trainer's licensure.
Prior experience in athletic training, ideally in a collegiate setting.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Competency with ATS, Google Calendar, Microsoft Office Suite, and a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure.
CPR/First Aid/AED certification (required).
Experience with therapeutic exercise and manual therapy techniques.
