Overview

The Vice President, Audience Strategy, DTAI will play an integral role in building-out and expanding the Audience team at Infinite Roar. The VP will drive Ad-Tech/MarTech and data-led integration strategies on behalf of our clients, while partnering closely with Strategy, Activation, Operations, Media Analytics and AdOps teams to implement these strategies across multi-channel plans.

The VP will be a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented individual, working across the aisles with both the client and internal stakeholders to educate them on the myriad uses of audience-led data strategies, leveraging 1P, 2P & 3P inputs to drive innovation, leveraging proprietary technology. This may include but is not limited to: clean rooms, CDPs, advanced audience strategies, full-funnel measurement, targeting/re-targeting & suppression strategies. They will also generate insights and audience profiles to align with strategic planning and will work with both first-party and third-party data vendors and publishers to maximize the data opportunity for the client and go beyond what is currently available.

This leadership role is an individual contributor role with a large swath of indirect influence across senior business leaders and clients. They will own the development & communication of strategies to enhance ad targeting by using real-time consumer behaviors and preferences for more relevant, "right-time-right-place" ad delivery across a myriad of publishers and platforms. Requiring high levels of collaboration and embodying a coaching mindset, the VP will provide clients & internal stakeholders with a holistic understanding of their audience's media consumption patterns, ensuring campaigns reach the right viewers on the most effective platforms while developing and implement data-driven audience segmentation strategies using a playbook of tools, including 1P (Epsilon), third-party data providers (addressable & non-addressable, aggregators, industry research) as well as tools like comScore, SimilarWeb, and others, to optimize national, regional and local audience segmentation and ad targeting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership by challenging current way of operating to deliver best in class approaches related to audience identification, segmentation, targeting and execution.
  • Be the in-house expert on how 1P and 3P audience data and data-driven media activation can drive business and improve ROI for clients, including communicating horizontally and vertically across stakeholders
  • Guide and drive use of audience data to impact media strategies for clients based on overall objectives, through the optimization of addressable and offline audience strategies, leveraging data-driven processes to improve targeting precision and optimize campaign performance in real time
  • Conduct primary audience research, define core audiences to sustain and grow, and establish stakeholder alignment to help shape marketing and content strategies
  • Develop personalization strategy across all channels and customers, prospects on mobile, desktop, client website, CRM, etc.
  • Understand how platform/data technologies work and offer the ability to explain technical concepts in ordinary terms (be technically savvy & understand the opportunities and limitations)
  • Partner with marketing, product and engineering leadership to develop and oversee the marketing technology strategy and technology stack, including CRM, marketing automation, segmentation tools and customer data platforms
  • Partner across the DTAI teams to maintain a robust data infrastructure for seamless organization and analysis of customer data across all platforms and channels, including ensuring all marketing technology and data activities adhere to privacy and security regulations and industry best practices
  • Partner with Data Architecture and Analytics leadership to create new product offerings and thought leadership to drive our clients' business
  • Own relationship with the Identity Resolution platforms, CDPs, or other AdTech solutions and project manage the deployment and activation of data technology solutions, including maintaining a regular cadence of education and business planning
  • Partner with internal Programmatic and media investment arms to support campaign activation as well as advanced data use cases
  • Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency).
  • Share knowledge with client and internal teams regarding audience insights and results to impact business needs
  • Be seen as a thought leader with the client, at Infinite Roar and across the industry
  • Identify organic growth opportunities and craft meaningful proposals for clients to maximize their data strategy as it relates to ad spend
  • Actively participate in industry learning. Regularly meet with internal stakeholders and vendors to POVs and materials are up to date and translate these materials into meaningful client-facing materials to support learning, evangelism and advocacy for Infinite Roar

Qualifications

  • 8+ years managing relationships across complex hierarchies and demonstrated ability to influence indirectly
  • 10+ years of experience in digital media and ad technology
  • Excellent oral, written and client presentation skills
  • In-depth technical knowledge of ad and marketing technology, including ad servers, dynamic creative, streaming video, ad verification, customer data platforms, identity resolution solutions, DSPs, etc. and the ability to translate these complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Deep experience in the use of audience data to impact business outcomes through effective media strategies and activations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Expert level knowledge of digital media planning, execution and measurement processes
  • Previous agency-side experience preferred
  • Experience successfully managing multiple clients and/or brands across a variety of third-party marketing measurement technologies and platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapting to new ad measurement and technology platforms, from high-level understanding through implementation (DSP, Ad Servers, Mobile web and in-app tracking deployment experience necessary) and to train team members quickly and effectively on these same topics
  • Digital Audience and Performance Marketing Data Analytics experience preferred
  • Deep understanding and experience based point-of-view on best of breed technology tools for BI/Data Analytics, Martech, Adtech, CDP, CRM, etc. preferred.
  • Start-up experience is a plus
  • Embody a can-do attitude, and a "figureoutability" mindset

Compensation Range: $163,210 - $234,570 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
