Job Description:

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join an Am Law 100 law firm in Houston. This role involves assisting attorneys with commercial litigation and complex business litigation matters. Defense experience within a mid-large size firm is highly desired. This opportunity is fully on-site, direct hire, and full time with great benefits.



Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with case preparation from beginning to end


• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines are met


• Perform substantive paralegal tasks, including drafting pleadings, notices, and motions


• E-file documents with ECF system or local State Court sites under attorney supervision


• Conduct online PACER research


• Maintain and monitor court deadlines and case calendars


• Collaborate with attorneys on complex commercial and business litigation matters

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation defense experience in a law firm setting


• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and eDiscovery databases


• Technology proficient and adaptable to new software


• 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate preferred (work experience may substitute for education)


• Flexibility to work overtime as needed


• Prior experience meeting/exceeding a billable hour requirement
