The Scientist II - Chemistry for Cytiva is responsible for the optimization and scale up of processes related to membrane chromatography and subsequent applications.

This position is part of the CTO organization located in Cytiva Pensacola and will be an on-site position. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Collaborate on cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to develop new membrane technologies for current and future applications.
  


• Testing, characterization, and process development of new membrane technologies (mechanical, flow, morphology and functional performance) including outside technologies.


• Perform synthesis, characterization, and purification of organic molecules and polymers with minimal supervision.


• Clearly communicate observations, data, and results in the form of technical reports and presentations.


• Develop a thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art downstream processes and how to utilize the Danaher Business System toolbox to effectively drive projects forward.

Who you are:

• Hold a bachelor's or master's in chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, or another closely related field.


• Someone with a strong passion for chemistry, who is eager to learn, inquisitive, and is motivated to solve problems.


• Are organized, reliable, and detail oriented. Enjoys wet lab work and data analysis, while demonstrating commitment to safe and ethical lab/work practices.


• Have previous lab experience and/or can work independently in a lab with work focused on organic synthesis, membrane modification, and surface characterization of porous materials.


• Experience in membrane, surface modification, and protein purification techniques is a plus.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Ability to travel for up to 10%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Membrane testing


• Organic or analytical chemistry knowledge


• Data analysis and good communication

The salary range for this role is 58,400.00 - 102,200.00 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive
