Overview:

GaN is looking for a highly motivated, rising student seeking science, engineering and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience for our 2025 internship opportunity.

GaN is recruiting a part-time, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Intern for the Spring term. MBSE is the formalized application of modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation. At GaN, Model-Based Systems Engineers support government customers in engineering design, acquisitions, and education and training. MBSE interns at GaN will implement MBSE using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML), the most widespread language for systems modeling.

Responsibilities:

As a GaN MBSE Intern, you will:• Explore Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches for defense applications
• Support and develop models of defense test capabilities in design, production, and V&V testing.
• Work with software development teams to help GaN advance it’s Digital Engineering (DE) initiatives
• Gain a wide breadth of experience in SysML modeling to support your MBSE education

The selected intern for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals on our engineering team, gain experience and establish a reputation in this high demand career field.

Qualifications:

• Student working toward an associates Systems Engineering Technology degree
• Must work well in both a team environment and independently
• Must have excellent computer skills
• Must have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement
• Self-motivated; takes ownership of tasks and issues, and following issues through to resolution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Requirements:
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
