SUMMARY: This position is responsible to safely operate a company provided truck tractor to move and park trailers on the yard in and out of docks and other locations on the property. This position must maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures. This position will aid in the responsibility of maintaining the safety and integrity of loaded product. This position will monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and report any issues to the team lead and or management. This position is responsible for safely operating an electric pallet jack or forklift to move product from one location to another. The position requires the team member to safely move stack rotate stage and load product and supplies.
Other Responsibilities:
Frequent climbing bending stooping and squatting.
Frequent walking of the yard for the recording of trailer temperatures fuel levels and trailer inventory etc.
Frequently walking on hard and uneven surfaces for up to 10 hours per day.
Frequently climbing in and out of the tractor to hook unhook and inspect trailers.
Frequent push pull with moderate to light force with both hands is required. Various environmental changes rain heat cold wind etc.
Required to assist other Manifestors as needed and various other jobs as assigned by team lead and or management.
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures including use of proper PPE.
Proper and respectful interactions daily with everyone.
Obtain and maintain certification for safe operation of all equipment used within the department pallet jack forklift and yard truck .
Be self-motivated have initiative and have the ability to work with minimal supervision to maintain proper operation of the department.
Coordinate the proper staging rotation loading fueling and moving empty and loaded trailers.to and from the elevator for the materials team.
Following all shipping policies and procedures.
Documenting and maintaining the data entry of trailer checks for every trailer on the yard each 2 hours of your shift. Checks include trailer set points temperatures fuel levels load contents customer etc.
Accurately monitor the integrity and product safety of all trailers on the yard containing product.
Coordinate and document all transfers.
Update billing and or other parties of the new trailer seal etc.
Properly documenting Plant view and other data entry for the pre-cooling storage of and shipment of products on trailers. This information is used for internal and third-party audits and verifications by QA HACCP and Manifestors This provides proof of compliance with regulatory and company policies.
Maintaining knowledge of all empty trailers as they arrive and inform the shipping team and management.
Report all activities to management and/or team lead throughout the day as needed or requested.
Maintain the overall product acceptance ensuring compliance with USDA SSOPs GMPs and HAACP.
Adequately be able to perform all EIM SAP functions utilized within the shipping department
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience: Experience preferred. Raw receiving and or Material Handling experience; Forklift experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication.
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to lift push pull or carry up to 80 lbs.
