The Sr. Supervisor is responsible for the direct and indirect supervision of individuals. Responsibilities include planning the effective use of labor and materials, ensuring quality/production standards are met, and leading teams on special projects associated with the assigned area of responsibility.
The Sr. Supervisor may be responsible for investigating product quality concerns to determine root cause, providing corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring that proper actions are implemented.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with CAPA closure.
Identify hazard and safety issues and complete corrective actions.
Investigate root cause of customer complaints.
Participate in ER scoping meetings and correctly filling out event forms.
Participate in ongoing cost reduction programs. Participate in continuous improvement efforts in support of business unit and site safety, quality, and cost reduction objectives.
Participate in ensuring the manufacturing business units execute the production schedule, achieve targeted quality and performance standards, and maintain a safe work environment.
Ensure compliance to all company and regulatory standards and policies.
Assure that the training of all employees is current and up-to-date. Maintains employee discipline and performance.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Must have knowledge of FDA/CGPM requirements.
Must have demonstrated ability to effectively react to a variety of problems in minimum time.
Education and Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Bachelor's Degree is required; Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or Business
This position requires a minimum of three years' leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience.
Must have demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve problems with minimum negative impact on production quality, quantity, and cost.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment: clean-room / gowning; office environment Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection. May also be required to work in areas requiring additional gowning.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds.
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
