The Supervisor of Manufacturing responsible for working with the Sr. Process Technicians and Process Technicians in developing and implementing world class manufacturing through more efficient and effective methods of producing molded components, focusing on safety, service, quality, and agility through process improvements. They are responsible for the direct hands on supervision in our 24 hour/day molding operation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Motivate and train personnel to achieve a high level of efficiency and improve their skills, while maintaining positive employee relations within the entire molding team
Responsible for maintaining a safe environment with all required OSHA Compliance and Safety Training
Provide technical leadership and mentor direct reports
Foster a continuous improvement culture to reduce cost and drive efficiencies
Ensure adherence to prescribed quality procedures for all molding production operations
Troubleshoot problems using DMAIC or other Six Sigma form of problem solving to root cause
Process and reporting (labor/staffing, scheduling, yield, scrap, cost, capacity, assure process integrity, and continuous improvement plan implementation)
Ensure availability and proper condition of tools and material and requisition items required to meet production requirements
Work with production to attain 100% on-time shipping performance by eliminating quality issues, improving capacity on bottle-neck processes and providing round-the-clock support.
Actively demonstrating support through interactions with solid communication skills, attitude, dedication, commitment, respect, pride and trust.
Coordinate activities to ensure departmental compliance to all Federal, State, Local and Company regulatory requirements. These elements include FDA, EPA, OSHA, ISO, EEOC and Company policies relative to the manufacture of product, lot control requirements, documentation requirements, housekeeping, preventative maintenance, calibration, associate training and safety (equipment, associate and material).

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at a group lead level or higher
Minimum 10 years of experience in setting up, running and troubleshooting Injection Molding processes
Previous experience in Liquid Silicone Molding is a plus
Production management software: Oracle, MasterControl, Microsoft Office Applications
RJG certification with Master Molder II
Proven ability to drive cost reduction
Experience with medical manufacturing, including compliance and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Travel Requirements
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Work may be performed in a clean room environment
