Job Overview
The Manager, Operations (Medical Management) oversees the Operations unit within Medical Management and serves under the direction of the Operations Director. Responsible for oversight in key areas of focus including Health Plan audits, corrective action plans, internal audits, policies and procedures, HICE work plans, and health plan and regulatory reporting. Assists in preparing, approving, and managing policies in the designated policy system. This position is essential to maintaining an effective and efficient working relationship with internal departments and external clients. Leads staff dedicated to executing operational functions and ongoing evaluation of systems to maintain and support strategic objectives of managed care medical management division. Incumbent should possess comprehensive knowledge of managed care industry standards, familiarity with government regulations, expertise in interpreting full-service health plan contractual DOFR and delegation logic requirements, in-depth understanding of regulatory and accreditation compliance, and experience in medical management program development.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma and a minimum of 10 years of relevant health plan experience required.
Bachelor’s Degree in a health affiliated or business affiliated field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of managed care experience, including Med-iCal managed care, Medicare and Commercial insurance payor systems that preferably includes health plan level required.
Project management experience in the planning, implementation, and controlling of medical projects.
Knowledge of various accreditation standards, such as NCQA or URAC, etc.
Knowledge of healthcare & managed care industry current and future trends, in order to assess future market needs.
Strong computer proficiency (MS Office) and typing skills are necessary.
Compensation
$98,004.94 - $122,506.18 annuallyCompensation Disclaimer

The range is subject to change.
