We feature a beautiful, modern and very well equipped AAHA accredited practice only minutes from Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Our three doctor practice utilizes a flexible work schedule and a 3 day weekend (Fri/Sat/Sunday) off every three weeks plus ample vacation time. The ideal candidate must have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the essential skills to diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues seen in a general practice. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to provide very high-quality veterinary services.
Duties:
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
Perform surgical procedures.
Utilize laboratory techniques for diagnostic purposes, interpreting results to guide treatment plans.
Provide guidance and general care to pet owners.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Educate pet owners on preventive health care, nutrition, and behavior management.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license to practice in Florida.
DEA License.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and get along effectively with clients and team members.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in veterinary medicine.
