JOB DESCRIPTION



The Product Management Specialist will assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of existing products in Lending Originations for Forward, Reverse, and Correspondent business channels. Key areas of focus and support will include ownership of product descriptions, job aids, and online resources to support internal and external partners.


Job Functions and Responsibilities:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Manage the overall portfolio of product descriptions, overlays, and job aids leveraged for lending across multiple business channels and sites.
  • Support ongoing product initiatives and participate in projects where needed.
  • Communicate effectively with Business and IT leadership on product needs, updates, and enhancements.
  • Track investor updates, compliance bulletins, regulatory changes, and Agency guideline changes and apply to existing products as needed.
  • Facilitate active communications in the form of announcements, product hurdles, and strategic decision-making between various departments, disciplines, and management.
  • Enhance effectiveness and ease of use of product descriptions, tools, websites, and job aids with continuous focus on layout and design.
  • Understand customer needs and support changes that positively impact them.

Qualifications:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
  • Bachelor's or 5yrs equivalent work experience in Product Management, Mortgage Banking, Mortgage Lending, Underwriting or Processing.
  • Deep knowledge of housing finance including all product segments - GSE, Government Forward and Reverse, Non-Agency, ATR/QM, and credit policy.
  • Experience in working with individuals from diverse cultures.
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
  • Comfortable presenting and running product focused sessions with internal stakeholders and external partners or vendors.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Training / Licensing Requirements:

  • Must pass the Company's Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
The salary range for this position is expected to be $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
