Site Leadership: Oversee 24/7/365 operations and maintenance, ensuring safe and compliant site operations in accordance with customer contracts and local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, DEP, EPA).
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other third parties.
Financial Management: Manage site financials, including profit and loss responsibility, expense control, capital investment, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and revenue growth.
Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety regulations and company policies.
Team Management: Lead staffing efforts, provide motivation and training, and handle employee discipline as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of five years in operations management within the steel (mill and scrap), aggregate, construction, or related industries.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Maintenance Expertise: Experience with preventive maintenance programs, industrial safety protocols, and leading maintenance departments. Knowledge of heavy equipment operations is a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
Project Management: Capable of planning and developing business plans, with excellent organizational skills.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
Work Ethic: Must be fast-paced, self-driven, resilient, flexible, solution-focused, and uphold high ethical standards.
