Job Description:
Location: Newark, NJ
Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually
Description: A growing Fortune 100 distribution company located in the Newark area is currently searching for an experienced Transportation Manager. To be considered, you must have a minimum of a High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus), a minimum of 4 Years of transportation experience in the distribution industry, including in-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, and at least 3 years in a leadership role. You must be well-versed in developing staffing models/forecasting labor, experienced with KPI's analyzing the productivity levels of a transportation team, and experienced with managing a budget. You must have a proactive, rather than a reactive approach, and a strong service ethic through personal example. You must also have experience with operations of computerized fleet management systems (RoadNet, or XATA a plus). If you have a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) it would be a big plus.
