Job DescriptionThe PCA is responsible for providing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by the Nurses within the Infusion Center environment. Care is provided in collaboration with the patient, family, and other members of the Infusion Center team. Overall responsibilities are to assist the team in meeting patient care & facility needs. ie. Obtaining vital signs, stocking linen & supplies as needed, patient bay preparation & clean up, preparing transportation carts for next patient use, disinfecting patient equipment, escorting patients for discharge, and other responsibilities as identified to assist the patient & their families with the Infusion Center stay.Minimum Education RequiredHS Graduate or EquivalentRequired QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent education and experience required. Previous patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred; Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills. Successful completion of PCA training course required after hire.
