Description: Tax Manager - Farming and Agriculture

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and reviewing tax returns, excellent client relations skills, and specialized tax experience in farming and agriculture.



Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.


• Manage and oversee the tax compliance process to ensure accurate and timely filings.


• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and addressing their tax-related needs.


• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, with a focus on farming and agriculture sectors.


• Stay current with tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for tax savings.


• Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.


• Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification required.


• 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and review.


• Proven experience in client relations and managing client accounts.


• Specialized knowledge and experience in tax issues related to farming and agriculture.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
