RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a unique Long Island based CPA firm that prides itself on high quality work along with a focus on the well-being and work life balance of its people is seeking an experienced Tax Manager who will be responsible for supervising and reviewing the preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns for businesses and individuals and will actively oversee tax research and planning. The firm is seeking someone interested in becoming an integral part of the firm for years to come. Responsibilities:

• The Tax Manager will use leadership skills and creative thinking to support staff and maintain high standards of excellence


• Lead, develop and mentor staff and promote individual professional growth


• As a Tax Manager, you will develop and maintain solid client relationships while overseeing challenging assignments

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA with 7+ years of recent public accounting experience


• Must have a strong background in C corporations, S corporations and partnerships, and be adept at handling the complex issues that may arise in these areas


• Strong review, research and analytical skills


• Ability to supervise, review, train and mentor junior staff

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
