Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Security Analyst in Southfield, MI.

Responsibilities:

• Security Analyst will monitor networks for security breaches, investigate potential intrusions and respond when one occurs


• Check for and implement mitigations for vulnerabilities in computer and network systems


• Recommend security enhancements (technological and procedural) to management and senior IT staff


• Review and monitor IT security mechanisms, ensuring compliance to policies, standards, procedures, and best practices


• Perform audits and tests to ensure proper functioning of compliance activities and security measures


• Reviews violations of security procedures; provides training to ensure violations do not recur


• As a Security Analyst, you will prepare reports that document security and compliance trends


• Monitor and control access to sensitive and unstructured data


• Administer IT security and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tools


• Research and remain up to date on latest IT security trends and compliance regulations


• Collaborate with system administrators and business functions representatives to identify data access needs, correlate security risks and recommend mitigations


• Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field


• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and IT regulatory standards


• Excellent writing skills for creating IT-related compliance documents


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Proficient in a broad array of security software applications and tools


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software


• Ability to apply regulatory requirements within all aspects of the IT Department


• Previous experience in computer systems with some specialization in computer security highly preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
