Senior Advanced Systems Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services top Space & Defense company. As a GMI PWSA Enterprise Engineer you will contribute to developing and deploying a state-of-the-art ground operational system on the SDA Tranche 2 (T2) SUPERNOVAs and T2 GEPS.
Responsibilities:
Performs requirements analysis, definition and management; functional and performance analysis; system design, trade studies, integration and test (verification & validation).
Technical planning; cost, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for system and subsystems elements
Develop system requirements and defines allocations to lower levels
Develops and evaluates systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet specifications
Participate in Modeling and Simulation
Contribute to the completion of major programs and projects
Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility
Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses
Develop system security documentation on both new and fielded information systems
May provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features (e.g., identification, authentication, access control, labeling, and auditing) of the system are considered and function properly
Qualifications:
S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, or STEM and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience
Experience designing, coding, or modeling satellite contact planning systems
System design including Use Case and thread-based modeling for SW messaging systems
Interface Control Document (ICD) authoring through the system design thru Integration phase of program
Preferred Qualifications:
Satellite communications knowledge
Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
Ground operations experience
Agile experience
Working relationship with Iridium, SDA, Northrup, York, and Lockheed
