Aircraft Painter




Greenville, SC




Contract Position




$22.00-$25.00/Hour



Be part of an operation that focuses on the sustainment and modernization of tactical aircraft, ensuring they remain ready and capable. This facility is a cornerstone of aerospace maintenance and support, providing essential services to enhance military aircraft's operational life and capabilities.




Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare military aircraft for maintenance and repainting by performing plastic media blasting to strip surfaces, using high-powered pressure sprayers.


• Mask and protect areas before blasting and assist with other paint shop tasks as required.


• 
  Apply coatings to aircraft surfaces, including paint, lacquer, epoxy, and resin, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.


• Remove old paint using liquid removers and scrapers, smooth surfaces with sandpaper and steel wool, and prepare aluminum with acid solutions for paint adhesion.


• Paint insignia, letters, or numerals on surfaces using stencils.

Qualifications:

• 
  Media Blasting Experience: Demonstrated expertise in plastic media blasting for aircraft.


• 
  Paint Shop Processes: Experience in painting, masking, and preparing surfaces for coatings.


• 
  Physical Requirements: Ability to handle strenuous activities, including standing, lifting, and repetitive motions.
