Be part of an operation that focuses on the sustainment and modernization of tactical aircraft, ensuring they remain ready and capable. This facility is a cornerstone of aerospace maintenance and support, providing essential services to enhance military aircraft's operational life and capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Apply coatings such as paint, lacquer, epoxy, and resin to aircraft surfaces using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other devices.
Remove old paint from aircraft surfaces using liquid paint remover, scrapers, or other techniques.
Smooth and prepare surfaces with sandpaper, steel wool, or acid solutions to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Mask and cover areas not to be painted, and apply insignias, letters, or numerals using stencils.
Perform tasks related to RAM (Radar Absorbing Material) coatings and other specialized paint shop activities.
Participate in Plastic Media Blasting and paint preparation activities as required.
Qualifications:
Experience: Aircraft painting experience required (Automotive painting experience with aircraft crossover may be considered).
Specialized Skills: Proficiency in painting, paint preparation, and all aspects of aircraft painting.
Equipment Use: Ability to wear and work with a respirator during operations.
Plastic Media Blasting: Willingness to perform and learn media blasting techniques.
