This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
The Combs Lab is seeking an undergraduate student researcher to join a collaborative team working on various projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with designing and performing experiments
Set up experiments
Data acquisition
Conduct literature reviews
Input and manage data in databases or spreadsheets
Analyze data using statistical software or other tools
Prepare graphs, charts, and other visual representations of data
Draft sections of research reports, articles, presentations or posters
Attend and participate in research team meetings
Maintain accurate and detailed records of research activities
Ensure compliance with ethical standards and protocols
Manage and organize research materials and equipment
Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the research project as needed

Minimum Requirements
Successful completion of General Biology and General Chemistry
Interest in working for at least 1 academic year
Previous experience working in a research lab
Undergraduate student at UND
Majoring in a science field
At least 1 calendar year of coursework remaining before graduation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with research tools and software, such as statistical analysis programs, database management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze and interpret data, perform statistical analysis, and draw meaningful conclusions from research findings.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
