NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes.

We are currently looking for a Shift Manager, at our Atlanta GA Healthcare Laundry facility.  We are looking for someone who is confident in decision making, can act quickly, and has excellent communication skills.   If you are ready to make a commitment to measurable performance and continuous improvements, then we want to hear from you!

Essential Functions:


  • Administer and consistently enforce company policies.

  • Maintain union free environment through the equitable and consistent treatment of all employees and by promoting open lines of communications between all levels of employees.

  • Responsible to work within approved budget for facility.

  • Implement standard operating procedures within departments/facility and assure they are being followed to create consistency and standardization in all we do.

  • Ensure facility’s compliance to safety protocols and OSHA rules and regulations.  Introduce programs directed at creating awareness amongst all employees and that move us closer to achieving zero reportable accidents within your facility.

  • Interview, select, hire, develop, train and progressively counsel (if necessary) all direct reports in conjunction with Human Resources.

  • Conduct performance appraisals for all direct reports at least annually and establish goals and objectives that are measurable.

  • Provide documented regular/ongoing performance feedback to all direct reports.

  • Responsible for monitoring and making recommendations to improve our hiring process and retention programs to control production employee turnover.  Our goal is to maintain at least the industry average as reported by TRSA for typical healthcare facilities.

  • Ensure facility operates in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws as well as company policy.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new production systems.

  • Track and monitor key labor and production numbers in an electronic format (i.e., spreadsheets) to enable ease of reporting capabilities.

  • Ensure mandatory plant training is completed on time.

  • Ensure all production schedules are met with a minimum of overtime while maintaining all quality standards.

  • Responsible for all production, delivery, and maintenance in plant.

  • Develop standard piece rate for each workstation within facility which will serve as the base for employee incentive pay program.  Assure payout threshold levels are effective in properly rewarding employees.

  • Ensure employees are constantly aware of their achieved performance level.  Must also ensure employees are correctly counseled and we make every effort to assist them in situations where they are performing below expectations.

  • Responsible for ensuring all employee terminations are performed properly and in conjunction with company policy and Human Resources approval.

  • Work with Sales/Service personnel to resolve customer issues/problems.

  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of all production jobs within each department.

  • Take “off hour” phone calls.

Qualifications:


  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.

  • 4-year college degree or the equivalent relevant experience.

  • 5 – 8 years’ experience supervising others, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • 1 – 3 years prior health care linen industry experience preferred.

  • Proven high level of organization and analytical aptitude with problem solving abilities.

  • Ability to have a flexible schedule due to changing production level demands, extended shifts and weekends occasionally.
