Position Summary
The Loan Servicing Intern will provide assistance to the Loan Operations Department with various recurring tasks as well as special projects.
Primary Accountabilities
Involved in several projects related to process automation, gaining hands-on experience with real-world initiatives.
Apply existing skills while also learning new ones through direct involvement in projects.
Shadowing during meetings, collaborating on tasks, and gradually taking on more responsibility as confidence is gained.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Position Qualifications
Education/Experience:
The internship will run for Summer of 2025 beginning mid-May and ending early-August.
Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Must reside local to Rockford, IL and report to the Rockford East State office.
Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Finance, Accounting, Business or other related field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
Technical proficiency is required due to projects focused on streamlining and automating processes.
Attention to detail in reviewing documentation and assisting with resource preparation to ensure accuracy.
Works well in team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
