Position Summary
The Associate Solutions Engineer – Data Warehouse Intern will provide assistance to the Information Technology Department with various recurring tasks as well as special projects.
Primary Accountabilities
Work to support production processes in the form of bug fixes and enhancements.
Contribute to special side projects that the team is unable to address due to capacity constraints. Past examples of side projects include:
Data Exposure Reporting
Enhancements to core data pipeline functionality
MEF Case Audit conversion
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Position Qualifications
Education/Experience:
The internship will run for Summer of 2025 beginning mid-May and ending early-August.
Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Must reside local to Effingham, IL or St. Louis, MO and report to the Effingham Corporate or local St. Louis office.
Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
Must have proficiency in SQL to support data management and query tasks.
Must be familiar with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.) to assist with system enhancements and bug fixes.
Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong passion for working with data, including data analysis, reporting, and improving data systems.
Works well in team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
