Position Summary
The BSA Fraud Intern will provide assistance to the Risk Management Department with various recurring tasks as well as special projects.
Primary Accountabilities
Involved in several key projects and tasks within the BSA Fraud unit, contributing to important initiatives.
A primary project will be assisting in the creation of a BSA AML program for our Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
The intern will help analyze data, create reports, and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Position Qualifications
Education/Experience:
The internship will run for Summer of 2025 beginning mid-May and ending early-August.
Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Must reside local to Effingham, IL and report to the Effingham Corporate office.
Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Business, Risk Management, Information Security, Criminal Justice, Legal, Accounting, or other related field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
Knowledge of best practices in data visualization (e.g., using charts, graphs, figures, and illustrations effectively) is highly desired.
Works well in team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
