Prepare samples for analytical testing following various testing organization standards, including ASTM, ISO, and others. Utilize various analytical instruments for testing including FT-IR, FT-IR microscopy, GCMS, GPC, DSC, TGA, Rheometer, SEMEDS, Particle Size, SRF, and others.
Prepare samples for accelerated testing following various testing organization standards, including ASTM, ISO, KCMA, and specific customer requirements for performance, accelerated, and corrosion testing.
Prepare samples for physical testing following various testing organization standards, including ASTM and others, to measure viscosity, percent volatiles, percent pigment, weight per gallon, and others.
Maintain lab equipment, including sterilizing, calibrating, setup, and troubleshooting.
Maintain proper inventory levels of laboratory supplies, including ordering, receiving, and distributing supplies.
Follow all safety procedures and keep workstation in tour ready laboratory environment. Adhere to all PPE requirements and safety regulations.
Gather data and information from test subjects, experiments and other work products, document results, prepare written reports for internal and external customers.
Complete administrative responsibilities (phone calls, emails, paperwork, lab reports) in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in maintaining laboratory organization, including labeling, sorting, and storing lab samples, and disposing of lab waste properly.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in physical science, with a preference for Chemistry or Biology or 3+ years of prior laboratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relations with internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
Proven computer literacy with experience in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
