Purpose Statement

The Maintenance Planner Scheduler is responsible for the execution of all activities deployed from the maintenance department, which include both scheduled and unscheduled work orders. The Maintenance Planner also needs to interact with the other departments to achieve team planning and scheduling.The Maintenance Planner Scheduler is responsible for the execution of all activities deployed from the maintenance department, which include both scheduled and unscheduled work orders. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes


  • Assist Maintenance Manager with scheduling and overseeing contractors for equipment repairs / rebuild work.

  • * Maintain records of completed maintenance.

  • * Meets daily with the Maintenance Parts/Inventory Coordinator to improve linked responsibilities (i.e. service level, min/max, backorders, work planning etc.)

  • * Train associates as needed in CMMS functionality.

  • * Write up CMMS procedures & SOPs for the maintenance department.

  • * Provide necessary reports, metric measurements, progress of work orders, planned work, repetitive problems, and anything necessary.

  • * Estimate costs of personnel, parts, and supplies planned for scheduled maintenance, identifies and reserves/requisitions parts and materials.

  • * Discuss major projects with Maintenance Manager by understanding and evaluating priorities.

  • * Participates on the HAZMAT Team.

  • * Reviews work orders requiring planning (PM07, PM03 & PM02) to understand the requested work.

  • * Performs job scoping/research by spending time on the production floor, interfacing with production to validate work priority and equipment availability- attend weekly planning meetings at the plant.

  • * Collaborates, develops, and prioritizes the weekly schedule with Maintenance Manager based on production and PM schedule.

  • * Learn and participate in required TPM activities including AM models.

  • * Assists Maintenance Manager with PM Pillar progress.

  • * Ensures the preventive maintenance program is scheduled and work leveled. Revise PM Task list.

  • * Attend and complete any RPC sponsored training.

  • * Maintains the asset hierarchy if required - update equipment data.

  • * Develops and improves the Equipment Bill of Materials (BOM)

  • * Reports on Metrics or Key Performance Indicators (KPI) weekly/monthly

  • * Performs other administration tasks of the CMMS (SAP PM) as necessary.

  • * Reviews completed job feedback to improve job plan content and estimates. Close or TECO Work Orders timely. Convert Work Order Request or Notifications into Work Orders.

  • * Assists the Maintenance Manager by handling the day-to-day workload of Maintenance Mechanics and Inventory Clerk.

  • * Occasional weekend supervision during down days for PM work.

  • * Backup for the Maintenance Manager for PTO and Engineering duties.

  • * Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Rich Products Corporation's business objectives.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience



  • * HS degree or GED; Degree or certification in Engineering or related field strongly preferred.

  • * 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment requiring knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, industrial electrical and mechanical systems and maintenance, and automated manufacturing process controls and equipment.

  • * Demonstrated knowledge and application of a CMMS, preventative maintenance techniques, scheduling, and safety management.

  • * Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • * Have an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety, FDA, GMP and Food Safety guidelines.

  • * Must have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assigned.

  • * Excellent computer skills and experience in extracting and analyzing data using information systems reporting tools such as Excel. Efficient with all Microsoft Office products. Experience using QAD, SAP, Crystal Report Writer, and application of a CMMS.

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.



Annual Range/Hourly Rate


$72,997.43-$98,761.23
