Sr. Process Engineer - Ethanol (Hybrid/Remote)

This position is a specialist in Ethanol process equipment and operations and acts as a subject-matter expert for our Ethanol or Chemical processing facility clients and internal design teams, as required.

Your role:

• Serve as the subject-matter expert and client's primary point of contact for the specific areas of expertise.

• Prepare technical reports, procurement specifications, and design sketches.

• Review equipment vendors technical proposals, and provide bid tab comparisons and recommendations.

• Research, understand and convey client needs to meet client's expectations for process optimization and upgrades.

• Facilitate internal and external coordination meetings (clients, equipment suppliers) as required.

• Communicate with clients, equipment vendors, controls installers, and other stakeholders regarding the process equipment design, installation, and operation.

• Closely manage the budget assigned to them; identify and prepare requests for additional services.

• Closely manage work schedule assigned to them; proactively communicate any potential delays to VAA project manager.

• Keep VAA Project Manager and Principal-In-Charge informed of work progress, challenges, and successes.

• Mentor and train VAA engineers and technical staff as requested.

• Demonstrate leadership with excellent engineering analysis and judgment providing appropriate results and responsiveness to clients.

• Perform site visits, if requested.

Your resume must include:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology.

• 8+ years of experience in design and construction of ethanol facilities and processes.

• Experience with ethanol process equipment and operations.

Starting Annual Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
