JOB SUMMARY:

The Director- Service Billing and Finance is responsible for managing and overseeing the billing team, which includes generating invoices, tracking outstanding payments, resolving billing discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial reporting related to service revenue and service cost. This individual will often interact with clients to address billing inquiries and concerns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Conduct strategic, financial, and operational assessments of potential initiatives
  • Create monthly financial reports and monitor revenue trends, identify potential issues and inform financial decision making
  • Support annual and multi-year business planning activities across business units and markets
  • Support corporate strategy development and evaluation with senior business leaders
  • Coordinates service forecasting, demand planning, and budgeting processes used within the service organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the service organization’s forecasting and planning efforts As needed, coordinates planning activities with other company functions
  • Develops, maintains and updates Standard Operating Procedures for service billing related activities including forecasting, and demand planning
  • Investigate and analyze billing reports discrepancies or customer complaints and Identify root causes and provide resolution
  • Automate billing process where possible
  • Performs ongoing in-depth analysis of service financial data
  • Works with Accounting, Finance, and/or Human Resources, as needed to obtain data relevant to the service organization.
  • Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives
  • Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel
  • Facilitate inter-department, internal, and external communications, including meeting schedules and events
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution required. Finance or Analytics degree preferred.
  • 7+ years in finance analytics, operations analytics, or finance management. At least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing data
  • Experience writing and implementing standard methods, procedures, and company policies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives
  • Proficiency in relevant billing software and financial management systems
  • Passionate, hardworking, and well-organized professional with power to prioritize and multitask.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain participation/partnership across multiple functional areas
  • Ability to foster close, cooperative relationships with peer leaders, service management, and operations support personnel
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
