The Director of Continuing Medical Education (CME) is responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing medical education programs. This role ensures that CME activities meet the educational needs of healthcare professionals, comply with accreditation standards, and support the organization's mission to improve patient care through education
Daily Operations
Planning, managing, developing and supervising all CME activities in the School of Medicine and Basic Sciences; Planning, managing, developing and supervising all CDE activities in the School of Dentistry
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on CME and CDE activities, outcomes, and compliance to senior leadership and accrediting bodies.
Accreditation Compliance: Ensure all CME and CDE activities comply with accreditation standards and guidelines set by relevant accrediting bodies (e.g., ACCME, ADA CERP).
Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing strategies to promote CME and CDE activities and increase participation
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of CME and CDE accreditation standards and guidelines.
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Required Education and Experience
Education: Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MD, DO, PhD, ED. D, MPH, M.Ed., MS)
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in medical education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
