Summary:
Coordinates the planning, implementation, training and ongoing activities of the Crew Resource Management (CRM) program, sterility expectations, technological adjuncts for safety, specimen handling and compliance with AAMI/ ANSI/ AORN standards in procedural areas. Ensures development of hard- wired protocols to ensure best practice and commitment to safety in Surgical Services, Obstetrics, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Intensive Care, Emergency Department, and anywhere an invasive procedure is performed. Ensures safety in affiliated support areas such as Sterile Processing.
Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with MHS vision, mission and policy statements, and regulatory and professional standards, in accordance with MHS Pillars.Implements large scale training projects as assigned.Coordinates, plans, and implements training and evaluation of the safety processes within MHS and serves as liaison to executive staff, administration, medical staff, and department leaders to facilitate progress.Evaluates data on an ongoing basis to assist leadership with decision-making, program and policy formulation, and execution thereofServes as liaison to executive staff, administration, medical staff, and clinical leadership to facilitate achievement of strategic objectives.Applies effective strategies for building consensus among disciplines and across facilities. Coordinates work efforts of facility teams to achieve critical compliance to expected standards, policies, and procedures in all applicable areas.

Bachelors: Nursing (Required)Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
Additional Job Information:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must possess the ability to devise, test and deliver training materials. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action independently. Required Work Experience: 5 years of procedural area experience where applicable safety and regulatory standards are upheld.Must be an RN with experience in procedural areas; such as surgery, cath lab, or interventional imaging.
