Join the Publix Technology Team as a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer where you will be responsible to plan, coordinate, and execute testing of the applications that support our EDI, Purchasing and Compliance systems. In this role, you will analyze acceptance criteria and coordinate with multiple teams for functional, regression, and automated testing.
Responsibilities:
Define the quality assurance processes and testing strategies for assigned products.
Lead the software and product testing efforts for the EDI team with minimal guidance.
Work collaboratively with the team to determine test efforts for initiatives.
Participate in requirements and design meetings to establish test effort estimates and develop testing strategies.
Create comprehensive test plans with input from various project team members like product owner, analysts, and development team.
Analyze and translate project documentation, release notes and other documentation into test scenarios.
Manage test cases and test procedures in Azure DevOps.
Build test cases, test sets and test scripts to perform business functionality validations.
Design, build and execute automated tests using various test automation frameworks.
Oversee and execute test scripts and results validation on projects.
Build test data as necessary in preparation for manual tests.
Ensure all Quality Assurance and testing activities are conducted throughout the lifecycle and that the results from these activities are verified.
Facilitate defect tracking, problem determination and resolution throughout the life cycle.
Present testing outcomes for review for go/no-go decisions.
Perform hands on testing utilizing a lab of retail handheld devices and maintain those devices.
Work in an agile environment that releases code to production on a regular and rapid basis.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related analytical field or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience software testing and quality assurance experience.
4+ years of experience using a web-based tracking tool for managing tasks and bugs.
Experience in writing SQL queries and performing database validations and manipulation.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of EDI X12 standards.
Experience working in both Agile and Kanban methodologies.
Experience automating test validations in Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
Knowledge of infrastructure and systems concepts.
Positive and organized approach to work is essential.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent decision-making and analytical abilities.
Ability to work closely with management when required as well as the ability to work independently.
Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
