As a Senior Product Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Introduce SEL products and technologies to new and existing customers through visits, technical demonstrations, technical paper contributions and other activities.
Lead & develop product training for customers, SEL sales representatives, and SEL personnel.
Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
Participate and present at SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, standard committees and conferences.
Lead, teach, and train others to work with R&D, Marketing, Sales and customers to ensure that SEL makes the right product at the right time.
Maintain an expert understanding of the end user, how they use the product, and identify and evaluate product line opportunities.
Maintain a strategic outlook for product portfolios, create and manage key elements of the products throughout the lifecycle including the roadmap, data sheet, technical presentations, pricing, customer requests and competitive analysis.
Contribute to product specifications and author instruction manuals, datasheets, flyers and product literature.
Mentor and trainer of engineers within team. May lead others. Regularly sought after for guidance, support, and example. Reviews other's work.
Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
This job might be for you if:
B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years' of electric power systems, telecommunications, automation systems or other relevant discipline
Excellent technical and writing skills
Knowledge of the product life cycle planning
Willingness to travel 25%
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Product Manager $100,000 -$168,000.
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
