About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Innovation Lead to support enterprise-level cloud systems for the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC). This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional with deep expertise in cloud technologies, IT modernization, and AI/Gen AI implementation, to lead transformational IT initiatives for the Federal Government.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver large-scale cloud systems for the DoD or IC, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Oversee and manage enterprise-level IT systems and cloud development for the Federal Government, focusing on system transitions, modernizations, acquisitions, and transformations.
Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud architectures, software engineering, IT modernization, and development best practices.
Drive the implementation and sustainment of cloud-based solutions, including AI/Gen AI capabilities, for DoD or other government agencies.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic guidance to teams working on complex IT projects.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Collaborate with government and contractor stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of IT systems and cloud-based solutions.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and security best practices relevant to DoD and IC cloud environments.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience delivering cloud systems for the DoD or Intelligence Community.
5+ years of experience leading enterprise-level IT systems/cloud development and sustainment, including managing IT system transitions, modernizations, acquisitions, and transformations.
7-10 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, IT modernization, IT project management, or development/sustainment roles.
1+ years of experience implementing AI/Gen AI engagement in DoD or other government agencies.
Demonstrated experience with Agile Development.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Active Top-Secret clearance
Azure Fundamentals certification.
AI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or similar)
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and senior government officials.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted IT projects in a high-pressure, high-stakes environment.
Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance standards for DoD or federal agencies.
Familiarity with the latest trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and AI technologies.
