Position Summary:



Mechanical technician should have a mechanical background or aptitude. Diagnose and repair mechanical tools to RCQM system requirements and compliance to ISO9002 standard in a production environment providing feedback to customers and engineering. After initial training, technicians should be able to work with minimal assistance and supervision. Possess the ability to work with a computer, and meet the quality and quantity performance standard for the Repair Center.



Key Tasks:

• Repair tools, which involves mechanical ability to disassemble and reassemble tools correctly in a timely manner, determine worn or broken parts


• Use test equipment to test incoming repairs to specification and calibrate and maintain test equipment


• Perform data entry on company and Repair Center computer system and MS Office


• Determine warranty on incoming repairs


• Provide information to engineering on problem and fault codes as needed


• Maintain department inventory


• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, department and work area

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.


• Ability to read, write, and do simple math


• Mechanical background or aptitude


• Ability to read Engineering prints and part change notices


• Computer knowledge


• Self-motivated, with the ability to work with others


• Good interpersonal communication skills


• Supportive of Corporate and Repair Center goals


• Ability to work in a highly productive and high pressured, fast paced environment


• Lifting requirement minimum 60 lbs. able to lift 3 to 10 lbs. consistently


• Ability to work around solvent, grease, oil, lubricants, solder, cleaning detergents and other items listed in the MSDS documentation
