The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for building and managing relationships with customers and act as an advocate on their behalf while working together with other teams within the organization. The successful candidate provides direction and assistance to meet the goals set forth by the business to meet sales growth. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and have the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the following:
Manage price/delivery inquiries, formal quote requests, sales orders, and service orders. This includes processing, expediting, problem solving and basic technical support
Coordinate product deliveries between four production sites worldwide
Develop and foster relationships with customers, account managers, and project managers
Receive and resolve and/or escalate customer issues and inquiries
Maintain a customer focus while working in a fast-paced numbers driven environment
Meet and/or exceed all customer requirements in addition to departmental metrics
Embrace full “wing to wing” ownership of all commercial operations transactions
Understanding and knowledge of complex commercial terms, incoterms and ability to support point of contact to ensure execution of contractual terms
Assist the warehouse pull parts and take inventory
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university (from an accredited school or institution strongly preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales or customer care experience in oil & gas, power, heavy equipment, or automation & controls) preferred
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills including telephone communication and active listening
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Ability to respond to unplanned situations and circumstances
Ability to read blueprints and shop manuals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications
Experience with SAP
Experience with Salesforce
