Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Profit & Loss (P&L) Leader to oversee financial and operational performance within our aircraft manufacturing division. This role is critical for driving profitability, optimizing costs, and ensuring sustained business growth in a competitive and sophisticated aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, operational acumen, and a proven track record of managing large-scale budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams. Experience in heavy-lift helicopter manufacturing, operations, or programs is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:



  • P&L Ownership:


    • Manage the overall profitability and financial health of the aircraft manufacturing division.

    • Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed revenue, profit, and cost targets.

    • Analyze key financial and operational metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.


  • Strategic Leadership:


    • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain, quality assurance, sales, etc.) to align operational execution with financial goals.

    • Identify and mitigate risks to profitability and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies.

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce production costs.


  • Forecasting & Reporting:


    • Collaborate with finance and executive leadership to develop accurate forecasts, budgets, and business plans.

    • Present performance insights and action plans to senior executives and stakeholders.

    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results and operational KPIs.


  • Operational Excellence:


    • Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

    • Optimize resource allocation across projects and programs to meet production schedules and financial goals.

    • Work closely with supply chain management to streamline procurement, inventory, and supplier performance.


  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:


    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and alignment.

    • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to evaluate new market opportunities and ensure pricing strategies align with profitability objectives.



Qualifications & Skills:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related industry.

  • Proven track record of managing P&L for a large business unit or product line.

  • Experience with heavy-lift helicopter manufacturing, programs, or operations preferred.

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret and act on complex financial data.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience driving operational improvements, cost optimization, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Familiarity with aerospace regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

  • Deep understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes, particularly in rotorcraft and heavy-lift helicopter design and production.

  • Ability to navigate high-pressure environments with competing priorities.
