We are seeking a full-time Business Analyst 2 in our Yarmouth, ME location. This role requires you to currently live in ME. No relocation available. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting and effectively communicating user requirements for medium to large size projects of average to significant complexity for products across your strategic channel.
Essential Functions
Apply and adapt business analysis principles/methodologies into requirements which meet the needs of Garmin's global business climate
Manage user requirements and identify both basic and ancillary discrepancies and conflicts in application(s) requirements
Facilitate reconciliation of business tactical and strategic direction and work with business stakeholders to determine application roadmap
Work closely with project team, including multiple stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and deliverables are aligned with long-term business/project objectives
Partner with business stakeholders to serve as a functional subject matter expert for application/technology solutions and related business processes within Engineering and regularly suggest improvements to business processes
Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field AND 2 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Demonstrate proficient use and knowledge of engineering/project management tools
Demonstrate advanced understanding of business analysis principles/methodologies and demonstrate ability to adapt practices to meet business climate and needs
Consistently demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work documentation/organization
Desired Qualifications
Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training
Experience with JIRA
Knowledge of human factors in UX design
International communications experience
