Summary:
Our client is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor (AFA) to help build strong client relationships and provide top-tier service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Working alongside a Lead Financial Advisor, you'll help manage financial, tax, and retirement strategies for a diverse group of clients. Your role will involve preparing for meetings, implementing strategies, answering client questions, and jumping into various projects as needed. As you grow in the role, you'll get hands-on experience in financial analysis, planning, and investment recommendations with the guidance of a Lead Advisor. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to eventually step into a Lead Advisor position, with the chance to learn about client meetings, financial planning, tax strategies, and relationship building, setting you up to grow your own client base within 2-3 years.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize necessary paperwork to keep processes smooth.
Respond to client requests promptly and efficiently.
Set up and structure meeting agendas to ensure productive discussions.
Onboard new clients using a combination of internal and external systems.
Collaborate with tax, trading, and financial planning teams to create client recommendations.
Work alongside a Lead Financial Advisor in determining and tailoring the best plans and solutions that will meet their specific goals and needs.
Work directly with high-net-worth individual clients with assets exceeding $3M.
Take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves and you grow professionally.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Undergraduate Bachelor's Degree required.
Series 65 License required.
Licensed Certified Financial Planner (CFP) preferred - or - currently working towards obtaining the CFP® designation with a long-term career goal of becoming a Financial Advisor (Licensed CFP).
Strong desire and long-term career goal of becoming a Financial Advisor (Licensed CFP) for a wealth management and tax (RIA) firm.
1-3+ years of experience in a wealth management firm or professional financial services company.
1-3+ years of experience working directly with high-net-worth individual clients with assets exceeding $1M regarding their overall and specific financial needs and goals.
Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage complex tasks.
Personable with strong client relationship/rapport-building skills, via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
High emotional intelligence for handling diverse situations.
Confident communicator with a strong presence.
Analytical and able to synthesize client needs to provide tailored recommendations.
Flexible in prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
