Position Overview:

The Director of Marketing - Student Enrollment will play an active, on-the-ground role in driving student enrollment at Legacy Traditional Schools' San Antonio campuses (Alamo Ranch, Cibolo, and Basse). This position requires frequent visits to each campus to build relationships with staff, students, and families, ensuring a deep understanding of each school's unique community. The Director will lead the creation and hands-on execution of customized marketing campaigns tailored to the local market, blending digital and traditional strategies to attract new students.

With a strong knowledge of the San Antonio, TX school market, this role also involves organizing and attending community events, hosting enrollment sessions and tours, and collaborating closely with campus leadership and stakeholders. By analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing targeted recruitment strategies, the Director will ensure Legacy's continued growth and success in Texas. This role demands proactive, in-person engagement to foster connections and achieve results.

Essential Functions:

1. Strategic Campaign Management
  • Visit each Legacy campus (Alamo Ranch, Cibolo, and Basse) to personally implement tailored marketing strategies that reflect their unique communities.
  • Leverage a mix of digital, traditional, and PR-based strategies to optimize outreach and attract prospective families.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to ensure enrollment goals are met.
  • Regularly adjust and improve marketing strategies based on data insights and trends.
  • Increase number of applications at all Legacy Texas campuses
  • Create engaging nurturing campaigns to increase show rate on first day of school.

2. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Regularly meet with campus leaders to discuss and co-create recruitment strategies that directly address their needs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for Vertex Education and Legacy Traditional School stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational vision.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on campaign progress, enrollment trends, and key milestones.
  • Actively engage with campus staff to gather their input and involve them in recruitment events, ensuring alignment and community ownership of the process.

3. Digital Marketing and Brand Promotion
  • Manage online campaigns, including paid search, social media advertising, and content marketing, to reach prospective families.
  • Partner with the digital marketing team to ensure alignment with larger organizational digital strategies and maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Actively engage with campus staff to gather their input and involve them in recruitment events, ensuring alignment and community ownership of the process.
  • Monitor online ads and analytics in real-time, making adjustments to improve click-through and conversion rates.
  • Regularly update enrollment-focused web pages and ensure they are optimized to guide families through the application process seamlessly.

4. Increasing Application-to-Enrollment Conversion Rates
  • Lead follow-up efforts by personally calling or texting families who have shown interest, ensuring a warm and welcoming approach.
  • Host on-site tours, "meet the teacher" nights, and other events to directly engage with prospective families and showcase Legacy's strengths.
  • Work closely with enrollment teams to streamline the application process, meeting with families one-on-one to assist with forms or troubleshoot challenges.
  • Monitor conversion rates weekly and take immediate action, such as scheduling additional open houses or outreach calls, to address drop-offs in the process.

5. Reporting and Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Track enrollment data and identify patterns or areas for improvement in recruitment efforts on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on recruitment efforts, campaign ROI, and enrollment growth.
  • Present actionable insights through reports and live discussions, emphasizing practical adjustments that can be implemented quickly.
  • Use data to identify trends and directly implement changes, such as running targeted campaigns in underserved neighborhoods or organizing new community events.

6. Community Outreach and Event Coordination
  • Organize and personally host events such as school fairs, open houses, and family engagement nights to connect with the community.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and organizations by attending meetings and proposing collaborative initiatives.
  • Actively participate in events, setting up booths, answering questions, and distributing materials to promote Legacy campuses.
  • Gather feedback from event attendees on-site and use it to plan future events that better meet community needs.

7. Student Persistence
  • Collaborate with campus leaders to host engaging events like attendance celebrations or family nights to build community and reduce withdrawals.
  • Personally reach out to families of at-risk students to understand their concerns and provide targeted support.
  • Develop easy-to-use resources like call scripts, templates, and outreach guides for campus teams to improve communication with families.
  • Meet monthly with campuses to review persistence data and jointly develop actionable strategies that can be implemented immediately.
  • Develop a "Persistence Playbook" featuring best practices, family outreach templates, and engagement strategies for campus teams.

8. Reputation Management
  • Monitor and manage Legacy's reputation by proactively addressing concerns and resolving feedback from prospective families.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with all stakeholders to reinforce trust and credibility.
  • Implement strategies to maintain positive perceptions of Legacy campuses in the local community.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Legacy's mission and values to enhance its overall reputation in Texas.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in student recruitment, student persistence, marketing, or enrollment management, specifically in a school setting.
  • Proven success in developing and executing digital and traditional marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in event coordination and community outreach.
  • Current resident of San Antonio, Texas, with familiarity with the local school market.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in charter schools or K-12 education environments.
  • Familiarity with the Texas education market, including local school competition and community dynamics.
  • Expertise in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, analytics platforms).
